You'll usually find Geldmaat coin deposit machines inside Gamma or Karwei home improvement stores. To deposit coins at a Geldmaat cash deposit machine you'll need an ING Debit card and PIN. You can deposit up to 5 kilograms of coins.

How much can I deposit daily?

You can deposit up to €3,000 per account per day. The input tray can handle 200 banknotes at a time. If you'd like to deposit more than €3,000, you'll have to spread deposits over several days.

You may be charged a €6 fee per note deposit. If you have an orange package with a discount (OranjePakket met Korting), you'll be charged for each deposit. If you have an orange package (OranjePakket) or student account (Studentenrekening), the first two deposits are free. If you have a standard package (BasisPakket), payment package (BetaalPakket) or royal package (RoyaalPakket), the first four deposits are free. Every additional banknote deposit made in the same year will cost €6.

How much can I deposit into a children's or youth account (Kinderrekening or Jongerenrekening)

For a children's account, the first three note or coin deposits of the calendar year are free. For a youth account, the first two deposits are free.

You can deposit up to €1.000 into a children's or youth account per day. The maximum amount you can deposit into these accounts is €5.000 per calendar year. You'll need an ING Debit card of your own to make these deposits.

You cannot deposit cash into a children's savings account (Groei Groter Rekening), a children's account belonging to a child under 6 or if you don't have your own debit card.
